What Students Have Said

"I've had two bladder incontinence surgeries, but was still leaking. After learning how to do and learning the difference between fast and slow twitch muscle exercises, along with what foods to avoid, my leaking improved drastically, unless I waited too long to pee; and I was able to

sleep through most nights. I can honestly say that she changed my life."

-Donna Elber

"I am about to have a baby soon and I am an older mom at 35 y/o. By implementing the strategies that Dr. Irwin has taught me, I have not had any leakage of urine during my entire pregnancy. I am also able to delay having to use the restroom every hour. I've been doing pelvic floor muscle exercises, I feel stronger and better. I'm not afraid of my body aging." -LaJune Williams

“As a middle-aged woman, I found Dr. Irwin who helped me to understand the changes and why they happen but more importantly, she helped me strengthen my body through education, techniques, and medical intervention. You do not have to settle for "natural causes." With Dr. Irwin's knowledge, you can be the best you that you can be at any stage in your life.” -Jill H.

Hi!  I’m Dr. Teresa Irwin, but you can call me The Vaginacologist!

I am board-certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS). I am one of less than 1,500 board-certified FPMRS in the United States and the only one between San Antonio and Austin, TX.

I also serve as an expert witness on female pelvic dysfunctions. In 2005 I was voted as a "Top Doctor", in 2006 one of the “Best Doctors in Texas” and in 2007, 2011, 2020 one of the “Super Doctors” by Texas Monthly. The Consumer’s Research Council of America honored me as “America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists” in 2008 and 2010.

I created The Vaginacologist platform and this course to educate women in all things pelvic health after my patience kept telling me “I wish I knew that before”!
